On Father’s Day, June 18, 2017, the City of Albany will present Dad Fest at Washington Park!
Featuring live music, great food, beverage tastings, vendors, kids’ activities and more family fun, Dad Fest is a chance for the whole family to kick back and enjoy an early summer afternoon at one of the Capital Region’s most picturesque parks, surrounded by good folks, good tunes and good times. Of course, you don’t have to be a dad to enjoy Dad Fest – this event offers a little fun for everyone.
1:30pm-2:30pm – Ramblin’ Jug Stompers – Kickin’ up a vintage American roots-rockin’ ruckus for more than a decade, the Stompers offer a unique combination of hot-wired musicianship and quick wit.
3:00pm-4:00pm – Mark Gamsjager & The Lustre Kings – The Lustre Kings boast a devoted international fanbase and perform over 150 dates a year, including regular stops at nightspots, festivals and casinos. The band staked a claim to a modern take on the reverb-driven sounds of early rock, leaning on touchstones of country, blues & R&B.
4:30pm-6:00pm – Powerhouse Funk Band – If you want feet that stay on the dance floor, electricity and excitement in the room, and feel-good fire deep in your soul, and the terrific sounds of excellent music in your veins, then POWERHOUSE is the band for you! Soul music, R&B, neo soul, jazz, funk, and everything else in-between!
