Job Posting Opportunity
Community Members, working with the TroyBID, are collecting funds to purchase a park bench dedicated to Nina for Barker Park.
Donations can be made by Check to: Downtown TroyBID, Barker Park.
Barker Park Bench Fund:
In Memory of Nina Pattison
Born in Troy, Nina Pattison (R.I.P. 1928-2019) was a pianist, gardener (creating the Annual Hidden Garden Tour), & former city council member. She has been a central community member, resident, avid supporter & bright light in Downtown Troy. Her most recent residence was at The Conservatory on 3rd Street, directly across from Barker Park. She would keep an eye on planter beds & low hanging branches, keeping the President of ‘Friends of Barker Park’ up-to-date. One would find Nina sitting, reading & in conversation with other park users, always with her long-haired dachshund, Rosie, by her side.
