Hoboken International Film Festival
It’s been called one of the “10 biggest film festivals in the world” by major media and it’s hosted right here in Orange County! Cutting-edge filmmakers and movies, a celebrity jury, and cash prizes in multiple categories! Attend a Filmmakers Reception and Opening Night Movie, an Oscar-like gala awards ceremony hosted by Gilbert Gottfried and more. See website for schedule and tickets. All screenings and events at the Lakeside Beach at Thomas Morahan Waterfront Park, Cove Castle Restaurant, The Elks Lodge and Greenwood Lake Community Center, Greenwood Lake.

May 17 – Friday
Moonlit Walking Tour
Enjoy a sunset to moon rise after-hours tour included with regular park admission. Registration required. 8-9pm. Storm King Art Center, New Windsor.

May 18 & 19 – Saturday & Sunday
Wines & Bites on the Shawangunk Wine Trail
Receive a souvenir wine glass at the starting winery of your choice. Enjoy wine tastings and select food bites paired with your tasting at member wineries. Tickets on EventBrite: single weekend, single Sunday-only, and/or designated driver ticket. Designated Drivers or Transportation Service suggested. Please drink responsibly. 10am-5pm. Shawangunk Wine Trail.

May 18 & 19 – Saturday & Sunday
Ballet: Cinderella
With a glass slipper fit for a princess and dancers who shine like the stars, the classic fairy tale comes to life for two performances. Tickets: Adults $20, Children (3-10) $10, (2 and under) $5. May 18, 6pm; May 19, 1pm. Warwick Valley High School, Warwick.

May 18 – Saturday
Pine Bush UFO Fair & Evening Speaker Conference
Live music, kid’s activities, vendors, games, contests, UFO novelties, and mid-day stroll by aliens of all shapes and sizes. (Separate evening speaker conference for serious enthusiasts at 4pm after the fair, $20 pp, at the Town of Crawford Government Center.) 10am-4pm. Main Street, Pine Bush.

May 18 – Saturday
Village of Montgomery Village Wide Yard Sale
Stroll through Montgomery browsing the yard sales for treasures and stop in the local shops to purchase homemade chocolates, baked goods, antiques, jewelry, paintings, flowers, and many specialty items. Rain Date: Sunday May 19. 10am-5pm. Clinton and Union Streets, Montgomery.

May 18 – Saturday
Middletown Fire Police Annual Oldies Show
Featuring: The Eternals, Larry Chance & The Earls and Shirley Alston Reeves. Purchase tickets online. 3-5pm. The Paramount Theatre, Middletown.

May 19 – Sunday
Hometown UnFine Arts, Craft and UpCycle Fair
Not your Granny’s art show! All types of hand-crafted items, especially those that are unique, interesting and UnFine! Handmade works of art, decor, fashion and more by local artists, crafters, and upcycle artists. Antique dealers, local entertainment and food vendors. 11am-6pm. Thomas Bull Memorial Park, Montgomery.

May 19 – Sundays through October
Estuary Steward: Excursion to Bannerman Island
Board the Esturary Steward for a 2 ½ hour excursion including a walking tour of Pollepel Island where Bannerman Castle was built in 1901. Departs Newburgh Waterfront most Sundays, May-October. Reservations required. 11am. Front Street, Newburgh.
