The 2012 Bicentennial Sand Lake ROCKS event ends soon. Barbara Neu-Berti of the Sand Lake Historical Society had recruited local artists to paint/decorate Adirondack style rockers with a Sand Lake related theme. The resulting rockers are as different and creative as the artists themselves The artists are: Sheri Sidor, Jodi Beehm Snyder, Dianne Pearson-Applin, Barbara Neu-Berti , Deborah Bayly and sister team Mary LaFleur and Kathryn Benson. The chairs have been displayed at 6 different locations in town. They are: Sand Lake Town Hall, Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Uncle Marty’s, Pie Squared, Flowers in the Park and Key Bank.
All have been welcome to bid on these spectacular creations. Each chair has a notebook attached where interested buyers have submitted bids. There’s still time. Bid soon ! If you haven’t had a chance to see the rockers, you can google YOUTUBE and type in Sand Lake Rocks. The highest bidder gets the rocker. The lucky winners will be notified on Tuesday, May 8th.
