Join Saratoga National Historical Park in honoring all those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, including the Continental soldiers and militiamen who served here at Saratoga in 1777. Musket firing demonstrations and discussions about Revolutionary War American soldiers will take place throughout the day.
At 1 PM there will be a formal program recognizing veterans past and present. Included in this will be a reading of units that fought in the Battles of Saratoga, a salute to all the branches of the US Military, a musket salute, and a wreath laying to honor all who have served our country.
Blue Star and Gold Star Families in the area are welcomed to this program and encouraged to participate in this commemoration, as there will be a recognition of their contributions and sacrifice.
For more information about the program, please call Park Ranger Bill Valosin at (518) 670-2983.
