2019 Hometown Heroes Banner Program

Final Day to Nominate a Hometown Hero is This Friday!

The DSIC and City of Schenectady are seeking nominations for honorees to be featured on sponsored banners during our 5th annual Hometown Heroes Banner Program. Banners honor active duty or veteran service members from Schenectady County and will be displayed on light poles in downtown from late May through mid-November.

The Addy – Each year, wild mustangs are rounded up and trained by prisoners in order to be placed on auction. Roman Coleman, a maximum-security convict, wants no part of the program, but his bullheadedness is slowly softened with the help of an ill-tempered horse trainer and a fellow convict.
