Support Leah Storm at the Albany Kidney Run!

Meet Leah Storm!

Leah Storm was born on November 5, 2015 at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York. At just a few hours old she was transferred to Albany Medical Center. She spent one year in the NICU. During that time her parents learned that Leah was born with one kidney which had multiple cysts. She was started on dialysis when she was four days old.
Not only does Leah have to endure dialysis but she had open heart surgery in January of 2017. One week after Leah’s heart surgery Leah’s dad was announced as Leah’s living donor! Leah will hopefully have her kidney transplant in July when and if she reaches 22 lbs (she is currently 15 lbs).
The Northeast Kidney Foundation has helped the Storm family. They hosted a Christmas party for all the children in the area and the Storms appreciated connecting with the older ones and little ones parents. The NEF has also helped the Storm family financially.
These walk/runs help the families that are in need. Please support the Northeast Kidney Foundation and baby Leah.
