At this workshop, participants will be planting a baby succulent in a glass jar! The perfect way to decompress after a long week, or just to get out of the house and have a little fun. Materials are provided, just grab a friend and get a taste for spring gardening!

To celebrate their 5th year, the best indie vendors will be combined with a wedding market!
Zan Strumfeld performs anthems for the revivalists, lullabies for the lonely, ballads for the hopeful. With a soulful & seductive vulnerability, Zan’s songs of love & heartbreak are complemented by the indie/bluegrass sound of her band.
Step outside & lend a hand to weeding tree pits, flower beds & planters along with cleaning sidewalk & alleyways. Different areas are welcome to determine projects they would like to focus on. It’s a great team building exercise for your office as well!
The Downtown Troy BID will pair you with a fall cleaning leader &provide supplies. Everyone is welcome to get involved!
This bi-annual event showcases available commercial & residential properties in the Downtown Troy BID district with an open house & guided tour, followed by a speed networking event at Tara Kitchen.
The tour will depart at 9am from the BID office, at 251 River Street. Following the tour, network over lunch with Troy developers, property managers, local small business resource organizations, City of Troy & Rensselaer County representatives.

Troy Night Out is a monthly arts and cultural event that regularly draws thousands people onto the streets of Downtown Troy. Attendees are able to enjoy countless art events, music venues, fine restaurants as well as unique boutiques of all varieties.
A celebration of Crafters, Makers, Artists & Taste Makers from around The Capitol Region. The Troy Makers Market is held in conjunction with the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market. (Monument Square May-October and Uncle Sam Atrium November-April).
A band of artists converging on a single mission to create an environment that can be used without regard to a specific means of interaction outside of community use and art. Over fifty artists create work within the narrative of skate culture including skate decks, street art, skate photography, and carpentry. Open skate sessions available in the evenings and on the weekends.
Using traditional and contemporary etching techniques Rhea Nowak combines mark making with photo-based images to develop a lexicon of signs, symbols, and glyphs. Her Cairns Series of prints and artist’s books explore what it means to read and understand both the familiar and the unfamiliar, a landscape or a sign.
Born in Troy, Nina Pattison (R.I.P. 1928-2019) was a pianist, gardener (creating the Annual Hidden Garden Tour), & former city council member. She has been a central community member, resident, avid supporter & bright light in Downtown Troy. Her most recent residence was at The Conservatory on 3rd Street, directly across from Barker Park. She would keep an eye on planter beds & low hanging branches, keeping the President of ‘Friends of Barker Park’ up-to-date. One would find Nina sitting, reading & in conversation with other park users, always with her long-haired dachshund, Rosie, by her side.
Support the growth of Troy’s urban tree canopy with the Raise . Plant . Grow initiative. The initiative will raise funds to plant up to 150 trees in downtown Troy, and will take place in stages as funds become available. Kick-Of began on The Earth Day Block Party, April 2018!
