Troy Innovation Garage, Economic Development – City of Troy and Downtown Troy Business Improvement District are pleased to sponsor “Intro to IP,” a talk by Matt Hulihan, Esq. from the law firm of Heslin, Rothenberg Farley & Mesiti, P.C. as he presents on the basics of IP law and protection.
The discussion will cover patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other forms of protection, with emphasis on the relation between IP and startups. Matt is a member of Troy Innovation Garage and his IP practice extends to several disciplines, focusing on computer hardware and software protections. The information presented will be generally applicable to any industry.

The River Street Beat Shop’s May featured concert photographer is Amy Modesti. As part of “Modesti’s Concert Photo Experience”, local musicians and bands are encouraged to perform at an open mike jam, hosted by Modesti, during the reception.

Invented in 2005 by Alan Adler, the Aeropress won a World Championship competition because of its portability, ease of use, and a seemingly infinite number of ways to brew with it. Witness and taste Aeropress brews of traditional recipes as well as variations on other recipes. Time allowed at the end of class to try out the brewers as well as have individual questions answered for Aeropress owners.
