This year marks the 3rd annualWalkway Marathon, attracting runners from near and far. At 1.25 miles long and 212 feet high, The Walkway Over the Hudsonis the longest, elevated pedestrian bridge in the world and is one of our top attractions. The weekend encompasses more than just full USATF Certified races, kicking off on Saturday, June 10th with the ThinkDIFFERENTLY Dash, a one mile run/walk for those with physical and developmental disabilities. This highlights our #ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative to make our county a place where people of all abilities are welcome.
Sunday, June 11th brings the full marathon and half marathon, each of which traverses The Walkway Over the Hudson, plus the College to College 5K, which highlights Dutchess Community College and Marist College. May 26-29: Devote your Memorial Day Weekend to enjoying these patriotic events! An evening of WWII-era entertainment transports you back to the Roosevelt days, as the FDR Library hosts its 14th annual USO Show at the Wallace Center. On Sat. & Sun., the FDR Library lawn becomes a WWII encampment, filled with period military vehicles of all sizes! Soldiers in battle dress are on hand to share their love of history. Franklin D.
