Hunter Mountain: It Gets in Your Head

Back To Ski Sale

we’re getting coconuts

One of our favorite events of the season is this Saturday, April 1st. Don’t be a fool, make sure you’re here to enjoy Pondskimming, Cardboard Box Derby, Dummy Race, and live music from Funk Evolution. Whether you want to spectate or compete, we guarantee you will have a blast! Vita Coco will be on site handing out samples of their thirst-quenching, vitamin-rich coconut water varieties, plus we have prizes for competitors AND spectators.

Contestant prize categories for Pondskimming include Best Splash and Best Skim; Cardboard Box Derby & Dummy Race categories include Most Creative and Best Run; and spectator categories include Best Beach Bash Costume! So if you haven’t started practicing your skimming balance, duct-taping your cardboard box or dummy, or looking in the mirror at your best coconut attire, get going! Competitor pre-registration and all the details can be found by clicking here.

Even after a few days of rain, Hunter Mountain is open with up to 38 trails and plans to stay open through April 9th, conditions and weather permitting. The upcoming forecast shows more sunshine and warmer temps than the past few days, which means soft spring turns and goggle tans – the best way to round off a great season of skiing and riding!

We’ll see you soon!
